Graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1984. Attended Pan American University, were he played baseball. Graduated from Our Lady of The Lake University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies in 1999.

Experience

Began coaching in 1989 at Antonian College Preparatory School (Head Baseball, Assistant Football & Basketball). In 1994-1996 coached at Trinity University (Head Baseball, Assistant Football). From 1996-1999 coached at Highlands High School (Assistant Baseball) and taught at Alamo Achievement Center in S.A.I.S.D. In 1999-2001 taught at Pickett Academy in S.A.I.S.D. Moved to Laredo in 2002 and coached and taught at United South High School in U.I.S.D (Football, Basketball, Baseball and Softball). Coached Baseball at Laredo Community College in 2003-2004. Returned to San Antonio in 2005 and coachedand taught at Fox Tech High School (Assistant Football, Assistant Baseball). In 2006-Current coaches and teaching at Harlandale High School (Head Baseball & Assistant Football). Currently serves as the Director of the Valley-Hi Optimist All Star Baseball Game, SpecialAssistant for the Presidentand 6A/5A Poll/All State Directorfor the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association and is on the Ranking Committee for the National Baseball Coaches Association.

Coach Eric Forestier is a native San Antonian. He attended Robert E. Lee High School where he participated in football and baseball. In 1984 he aided the volunteers to a district, bi-district, city championship and area finalists. While at Lee he earned all district, all city, and all state honors and was the first winning pitcher in the 1984 inaugural Optimist All Star Game. After high school he attended Pan American University on a baseball scholarship. In 1986 he participated in the NCAA Division I Central Regional Tournament in Austin, Texas. In 1989 he was the head baseball coach at Antonian College Preparatory, where he led them to a state tournament birth. In 1991 he was the head baseball coach of an All Star Team that represented the City of San Antonio in the World Game in Kumamoto, Japan. In 1995, Eric became the head baseball coach at Trinity University where he guided the Tiger’s to a first ever Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship. From 1997-1999 he served as an assistant coach at Highlands High School. In 2003 he relocated to Laredo, Texas where he coached football, basketball and baseball at United South High School. In 2003 he served as the pitching coach where the Panther’s won it’s first ever district, bi-district, area and regional quarterfinals championship. In 2004, he was an assistant baseball coach at Laredo Community College. In 2005-2006 Eric was coaching football and baseball at Fox Tech High School. Eric was named the head baseball coach at Harlandale and assistant football in 2006-2007. In 2009 he led the Indians to an 18 – 7 record and a bi-district appearance for the first time in 11 years. In 2010 he led the Indians to Back to Back Bi-District Playoff appearances with a record of 16-7. Coach Forestier Received his 100th career win in the 2012 season. Eric has been at Harlandale for9 years and has lead the programin 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015, Bi-District Playoff appereances, and a record of (120-86) and overall record of( 140-101). Coach Forestier’s has been involved with the Valley-Hi Optimist All Star Game for32 years, as a Player, Assistant Coach and Head Coach of the East Squad and is now the Director of the All-Star game. Eric is the Special Assistant to the President and /6A & 5A Poll & All State Director for The Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association. He is also on the Ranking Committee for the National Baseball Coaches Association. Eric is a graduate of Our Lady of the Lake University. He is married to Griselda, stepdaughter Annika and a 4 year old son Jolton Edward.
