Villarreal, James - Special Education Life Skills

Hello My Name Is...

James H Villarreal

I graduated from Texas A&M San Antonio with a Bachelor's degree in Special Education in 2011. I do plan to go back to school to receive my master's degree.

I began working in the Harlandale Independent School District as an instructional assistant. I spent a year and a half at Harlandale Middle and a year and half at Harlandale High School as a life skills assistant. I was then hired at Harlandale High School as a special ed math teacher. I spent one school year working in that position. I am now in the lifeskills unit. This will be my third year in lifeskills. I have been teaching for a total of 4 years. I am looking forward to an awesome year.

I am a product of Harlandale High School. I was born and raised on the south side of San Antonio.

I attended Schulze Elem., Wright Elem, Harlandale Middle, And Harlandale High School.

I have been happily married for 4 years, have a 3 year old son, and a baby due on May 14.

Some of my hobbies are running and playing the trombone. I have run in numerous 5Ks and have completed 3 half marathons. I am currently training for my fourth half marathon. I have been playing the trombone since I was in middle school. I play in the San Antonio Marching Band and on occasions play with a salsa band.
